Always busy.....if I could just turn this creative itch off!
So this weekend past, I hosted a baby shower, in honor of my little sister who is expecting her first baby, a little girl! We are all so excited to meet our little niece, I'm so excited to be an aunt!
So first I was gathering a basket of gifts for this little bundle, and I wanted to get her a special little dress, but then I thought - "Hey, I can sew! Maybe I'll try making her a dress!" Yes, that's what I did.... I drafted a pattern, and made my first dress! And I had so much fun, that I made another, and well before I knew it, I had a closet full of small dresses! Soooooo........ louloubellbaby.etsy.com was born! I haven't listed them all yet, but will be trying to get around to that soon....
And then I had to decorate for the shower and I needed to find an affordable, but different idea for my sister's special day when I came upon a stash of tissue paper in my studio. So I made a pom and then another and another! They went over really well, and I was super pleased with the overall look they gave to the room for the shower. I bought alot of my other details for the shower on etsy. I tend to do a lot of shopping online, especially now with a 10 month old, it's just so much easier to have things delivered to my front door, rather than tote him around all over the city looking for the perfect touches. So then I had a thought that I could help other moms to be a perfect host for their parties and so graciouspaper.etsy.com was born!
Poms aren't hard to make, it's the time it takes that is valuable. And I stock 19 different colors which helps so you can customize them to match your event.... great for wedding receptions, baby showers, bachelorette parties or nursery decor! They are folded, tied and hand trimmed and come to you ready to unfluff into perfect paper flowers and include monofilament for hanging......
Yes, I'm dabbling a little all over the place, but I like to keep the shops neat and tidy, so by opening different shops I can keep everything in its place....
The dresses are beautiful, Lyndsay! Your new little niece is going to look smashing. Congratulations!
