In search of getting my act together and finally getting my ribbons into a nice organized fashion, I came across this Martha Stewart ribbon organizer. It's really pretty, but the problem is that I need about 5 of them to fit all my ribbons. But, she also offers a 'make your own ribbon organizer' idea (thank you Martha) with a shoebox, dowel and grommets. I saw these brown kraft boxes on sale at Michael's 3 for $5, so I'm thinking a little time will be worth saving the money and making them myself.
This pretty ribbon comes from the talented Melissa and can be found in her etsy shop, melissakate. It is hand printed on organic cotton/hemp ribbon. And I don't know about you, but if I can buy organic I love it! I find organic is just sooo soft. I see a pattern of birds in my last number of posts, yes, I love the birds. Melissa sells this by the yard and I can just imagine the time it must take to finish a yard of this by hand! Beautiful.... A little peek at the mess of my studio space. Zippers, ribbons (which are a constant mess, I need to find a better way to organize these, if any of you have suggestions?), fabric pieces, and oh yes, a mangy little feline on my ironing board. What space is complete without a lazy cat?
